As a ULS Instructor, you will seek maximum student achievement through the development, implementation and demonstration of cutting-edge research, innovation and instructional practices. 85% Planning, Teaching, & Classroom Management:Teach classes, daily, on assigned content area; Plan and deliver lessons that are aligned with the school's curriculum and meet state standards, through the use of engaging, research-based and innovative practices; Create and maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment that adheres to the school's mission, vision, and policies/procedures (as outlined in the faculty/staff and parent/student handbooks); Communicates responsibly and professionally with all students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership. 10% Service & Professional Development:Participate and present in workshops, conferences, and other learning initiatives, in order to stay updated on effective teaching practices, cutting-edge research, and innovation in the field of education; Attend all required professional development, faculty meetings, and other in-service activities; Attend other school-related events as necessary; Consistent enforcement of expectations communicated by the University Laboratory School Administration, including written school/university policies and procedures. 5% Other:Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or school leadership; Complete all mandatory employee training, certificates and/or professional licensures as required; Complete annual review of all school handbooks and other necessary documents, policies, and procedures. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in related fieldUniversity Laboratory Instructors are hired with a master's degree and 3+ years of experience.
