Job summary

The California State University, Long Beach invites applications for the UHP Student Success Assistant. This temporary, 8-month position supports the University Honors Program in fostering student engagement, academic success, and community connection.

As an CSULB employee-only role, the successful candidate will help coordinate signature events, assist student leaders with publications such as The Honor Code, and support office operations, course schedules, and thesis submissions while

Qualifications

• Equivalent to three years of administrative support experience required.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support University Honors Program student experiences alongside UHP Staff.
• Organize key UHP events including Day at the Beach, Symposia, Graduation, New Student Welcome events, and Collaborative Events with Campus Partners.
• Collaborate with staff meetings and contribute to major event organization and planning.
• Support UHP student leaders with their events and the publication of The Honor Code magazine.
• Ensure student leaders are supported in their programming and publication of The Honor Code.
• Support UHPSA & HPMP as needed.
• Answer current and future student questions and direct students to other staff as needed.
• Direct students to tutoring, CAPS, writing center, tutoring centers, BMAC, Career Center, etc. to maximize success.
• Assist in creating and uploading honors course schedule and managing thesis submissions.
• Collaborate with Student Assistants in creating and promoting student events.
