Job summary

CSU Long Beach's University Honors Program seeks a Student Success Assistant to support student engagement, academic achievement, and community connection. The role coordinates signature events, assists student leaders, and helps maintain efficient office operations to promote honors program excellence.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to three years of administrative support experience required.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support University Honors Program student experiences alongside UHP Staff
• The Student Success Assistant helps to organize key UHP events including Day at the Beach, Symposia, Graduation, New Student Welcome events, and Collaborative Events with Campus Partners.
• The Student Success Assistant is a collaborative partner who attends staff meetings and contributes to major event organization and planning.
• Support UHP student leaders with their events and the publication of The Honor Code magazine
• The Student Success Assistant ensures our student leaders are supported in their programming and publication of our award-winning magazine, The Honor Code.
• The Student Success Assistant supports UHPSA & HPMP as needed.
• Help answer current and future student questions, emails, and inquiries. Direct students as needed to other staff.
• The Student Success Assistant helps direct students to other campus services including tutoring, CAPS, writing center, tutoring centers, BMAC, Career Center, etc. to maximize students' success.
• Support Office Operations
• The Student Success Assistant supports creation and uploading of our honors course schedule
• The Student Success Assistant helps manage and record thesis submissions
• The Student Success Assistant collaborates with Student Assistants in creating and promoting student events

Education

Master's degree preferred
