Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking a Staff Social Worker to provide licensed clinical social work services to students, including case management and crisis intervention. The role collaborates with the Counseling Center and other divisions to boost student retention and success.

The position is 100% in-person, with 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri. Salary range is $68,000–$75,000, and a Colorado LCSW is required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work and Colorado LCSW license.
• 1–2 years post-licensure; prior case management experience.
• Experience with diverse populations and telebehavioral health.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and consultation to MSU students, faculty, and staff.
• Coordinate referrals to mental health services and follow up on care.
• Deliver initial screenings, crisis intervention, and bridge appointments.
• Provide weekly direct clinical services when needed (individual/group therapy).
• Develop and maintain a database of community resources and partnerships.
• Supervise social work interns; support Counseling Center training.
• Maintain clinical records per state standards and ethical guidelines.
• Coordinate campus case management with Health Center and other units.
• Collect utilization/outcome data and train staff on procedures.
• Support outreach, stigma reduction, and suicide prevention activities.
• Participate in committees and develop Social Work Internship plans.
