Job summary

CLA, a top national professional services firm, is seeking an Audit Senior to join its Higher Education practice in Washington. You will manage day-to-day audit activities for university clients, from planning to reporting, and mentor staff.

This role emphasizes internal controls, client communication, and timely delivery of financial statements and disclosures. CPA eligibility is preferred; a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance is required, with 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Executing and managing the day-to-day activities of audit engagements with university clients from start to finish, including managing the budget, planning, fieldwork, directing staff and completing financial statements, including related disclosures.
• Reviewing client accounting and operating procedures.
• Developing and assessing the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Preparing all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable condition correspondence letters.
• Utilizing proactive and effective communication with staff, management, and clients to communicate technical matters to both clients and management.
