Job summary

IBC Bank in Alice, Texas, seeks a Universal Teller I to conduct and process customer transactions and deliver the IBC Experience through prompt, friendly service. You will balance cash, promote products, and support branch operations while maintaining compliance with teller policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 to 6 months cash handling preferred.
• 1+ years of experience interacting with people preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process paying and receiving teller transactions.
• Deliver the IBC Experience with prompt, efficient, friendly service.
• Balance and maintain cash box and vault; perform end of day process.
• Meet customer financial needs by promoting bank products and services.
• Perform to Sales Performance Goals and Referral Programs.
• Participate in product and service initiatives for bank growth.
• Attend company meetings.
• Process foreign currency transactions.
• Follow procedures to minimize errors and losses; assist with issues on customer transactions.
• Assist branch procedures under dual control including opening/closing.
• Assist on-jobs training for their branch and others.
• Flexibility to report to work and assist other branches.
• Perform duties of the sales functions.

Job Summary

The Universal Teller I position is responsible for conducting and processing various types of customer bank transactions while delivering the “IBC Experience”. This includes providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service to customers while adhering to bank teller policy and procedure guidelines. This position also requires tellers to maintain a balanced cash drawer and become skilled in the ability to build customer relationship to identify products and services to meet the customer’s banking needs.
