This opening is at our Valparaiso South location, with branch hours M-F (9-5) and S (9-12).

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Summary: As the front-line client ambassador, the Universal Banker provides a remarkable experience, understanding client transaction needs, educating on products, and deepening relationships. Responsibilities include assisting with account openings, managing transactions, and participating in branch operations.

Essential Duties:

1. Provide high-quality service and handle client requests professionally.
2. Build rapport, identify needs, recommend solutions, and seek business opportunities.
3. Promote bank products, services, and digital channels.
4. Perform teller transactions, verify cash, and handle deposits and payments.
5. Ensure cash balances and comply with regulations.
6. Maintain confidentiality and handle client problems efficiently.
7. Assist with currency shipments, deposits, and ATM balancing.
8. Support onboarding, follow-up calls, and sales goals.
9. Maintain product knowledge and represent the bank professionally.

Other Duties: Additional responsibilities may be assigned, including mentoring and working flexible hours.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in PC software and bank systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and systems.
• Experience in customer service or cash handling preferred.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Banking experience is a plus but not required.
• Minimum six months customer service experience desirable.
