Universal Banker

Department: Retail Sales Location: Grand Forks, ND

In this position you will be customer facing every day. You will handle basic transactions, account opening, lending (credit card, auto, home equity), and more. This is a higher-level Retail Banking position and having foundational knowledge and/or experience will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be working face to face with customers every day and handling any questions they have.
• Be the Customers One Stop Shop:
  • Provide support with transactions (deposit/withdrawal)
  • Account opening and maintenance.
  • Educate customers on FIBT products and services.
  • Provide consumer and home equity expertise.
  • Proactively engage in outbound calling to prospective and existing customers to identify financial needs and strengthen client relationships.
  • Advise customers on banking products and services providing tailored recommendations that align with their financial goals.
  • Treat customers like family.
• Act as a subject matter expert for the rest of the retail team at the branch.

Competencies:

• You will need strong verbal and written skills to be able to interact with our customers and provide a high level of professional customer service.
• You will need to be able to adapt to different customers, questions, or situations that may present themselves throughout the day.
• Given the in-person nature of this position, professionalism will be especially important as you are dealing with the customer.

Requirements:

• An Associate’s Degree/equivalency is preferred.
• Three to five years prior retail banking experience is preferred.
• NMLS certification is preferred.
• Recent consumer lending experience is preferred.
