Job summary

Northwest-Bank is seeking an Universal Banker in Columbus, OH, to deliver exceptional service and act as a single point of contact for a wide range of banking needs. You will guide customers through transactions, open accounts, and identify tailored solutions while driving sales.

You will collaborate with Financial Advisors and other bankers, engage in outbound referral activities, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations as part of a digital-first service approach.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in banking, retail, sales, or customer service is preferred.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively greet customers and guide their experience in the Financial Center.
  • Engage with customers to build and deepen relationships and provide service excellence.
  • Identify needs, offer solutions, and refer to experts when needed.
  • Process deposits, payments, checks for cashing and other transactions accurately.
  • Recognize cross-sell opportunities and refer to experts when appropriate.
  • Partner with Financial Advisors, LRMs, Mortgage and Business Bankers.
  • Outreach to generate referrals and build a sales pipeline.
  • Use bank systems to provide high levels of service and meet goals.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Coach tellers on digital capabilities and streamline sales/service.
