Job Location: Seaport Branch – Boston, MA. Position Type: Full Time. Salary Range: $48,177.00 – $72,265.00.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of understanding of all products and services provided by the Bank.
- Maintain a high level of service quality by acknowledging the customer’s presence through a professional greeting and developing an interpersonal relationship built upon an understanding of customer needs. Convey to customers an eagerness/willingness to help.
- Meet customer needs through problem‑solving techniques as required.
- Sell and refer Bank products and services within the guidelines established by the Bank. Follow up with prospects by asking for their business. Maintain referral documentation and actively participate in sales promotions.
- Conduct business in a professional manner and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all personnel.
- Participate in community projects and organizations as requested. Demonstrate a willingness to accept added duties and responsibilities.
- Perform all banking transactions, including opening accounts, checking and savings deposits, IRA’s, business retirement accounts, and various types of payments, in accordance with Bank policy.
- Perform as a teller, including performing financial transactions with Bank customers and settlement procedures and balancing cash drawer, as needed.
- Understand and adhere to security and compliance policies and procedures.
- Comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act, including accurately completing Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), adhering to the Customer Identification Program (CIP) Policy, reporting suspicious activity to your manager, and performing Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) checks.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two years retail banking experience or retail sales and service experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- General personal computer knowledge; prior experience with banking applications preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Sales and service oriented personality.
- Must be available to work Saturdays and evenings on a rotating basis.
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk/hear (e.g., communicate or express oneself while exchanging information).
- Primarily sedentary; some filing required.
- Ability to lift files at least 25 pounds, open filing cabinets, bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
