Job summary

  • Support program compliance with institutional and ACGME NST recognition requirements, including duty hour oversight and evaluations.
  • Maintain and oversee Non-ACGME and NST programs, conducting annual evaluations and documentation.Assist with communications and maintenance of accreditation for Non-MD/DO programs; liaise with stakeholders.

Job Description Summary

The GME Accreditation Coordinator is responsible for tracking and monitoring a variety of accreditation and program processes, assisting with program development, monitoring, and providing support for GME committees and subcommittees. This position will work closely with GME staff, GME leadership and program coordinators and directors. They will understand ACGME, CODA, and/or other regulatory bodies requirements for institutional, core and specialty requirements.

Job Description
HR, Onboarding, Offboarding, Benefits - 25%

Coordinate and maintain Non-ACGME program and fellow HR processes, including program and fellow tracking, contracting and licensing support, onboarding and offboarding activities, benefits-related processes, maintenance of required MedHub information and documents, and certificate and graduation coordination.

Program Compliance/ACGME Requirements - 20%

Monitor and maintain program compliance with applicable institutional requirements and ACGME NST recognition requirements, including duty hour oversight, evaluation support, NST new program requests, and communication related to NST recognition and reporting requirements.

Program Maintenance – 15%

Provide ongoing maintenance and oversight of Non-ACGME and NST programs, including annual program evaluations, accreditation tracking, stakeholder communication, and maintenance of educational and program documentation to support continued compliance.

Non-MD Program Oversight – 25%

Assist with communications, applications, and maintenance of accreditation for Non-MD/DO training programs; serve as a liaison with administrative and clinical stakeholders; and develop and maintain specialty-specific calendars for recruitment, matching, accreditation updates, and related committee or GMEC reporting, as appropriate.

Accreditation Team Support - 15%

Provide administrative and coordination support to the accreditation team, including serving as a liaison for designated committees, assisting with accreditation-related meetings and events, supporting affiliation agreement processes, and participating in shared team responsibilities and special projects.

Preferred Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint and Teams. Familiarity with MedHub and the ACGME ADS system is preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions, as well as to generate and maintain written process documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team, including managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • At least one year of experience with Graduate Medical Education is preferred.
