Job Description Summary

The Information Systems/Business Analyst III reports to the Director of Clinical and Administrative Operations. This position serves as a system administrator for the College of Dental Medicine's (CDM) Electronic Health Record (EHR) and various clinical application platforms. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, implementing changes, managing tickets via Service Now, creating training content, and maintaining a digital repository of training materials. The role also involves managing and coordinating clinic schedules in the EHR system, supporting clinical providers, instructors, residents, and students, and acting as a liaison between CDM and University Compliance.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain curriculum for various training formats; administer training programs and create multimedia content.
  • Coordinate and ensure accuracy of student rotation schedules in collaboration with department chairs and the EPIC Cadence team.
  • Oversee and track support tickets, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage grading software, create and update grade sheets, and assist students and faculty with related issues.
  • Set up and maintain user security templates within EPIC, manage user accounts, and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Conduct quarterly compliance audits in collaboration with the University Compliance officer, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and other regulations.
  • Assist with campus access and security procedures, including badge access and audit reporting.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and two years of experience in system development and modification, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in the dental field and familiarity with axiUm EHR software.
  • Knowledge of Epic Wisdom module, imaging software, and Calendar Lab software.
  • Dental terminology and clinic experience preferred.
  • Epic certifications within 6 months of hire.
Physical Requirements

Includes ability to work in various positions and environments, perform repetitive motions, lift objects, and maintain visual and auditory functions, as detailed in the original description.
