Job summary

The Mom Project is seeking a Software Engineer with Unity 3D experience for a contract onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA. You will join a small, agile team to build VR, AR, and traditional applications using Unity and C# to model surgical robotic hardware.

You will collaborate with senior developers, contribute to a mature codebase, and help deliver high-quality features while maintaining documentation and best practices for reuse and scalability.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science or related field; MS preferred.
• 3+ years of Unity-based development shipping projects.
• Experience with XR technologies and devices (Meta Quest, HoloLens, Vision Pro).
• Strong knowledge of C#, OO programming, and software architecture.
• Proven ability to onboard onto a mature codebase and contribute.

Responsibilities

• Support senior developers and deliver features from scoped direction.
• Estimate own work and flag slippage early.
• Build features in Unity using C# in a modular, scalable way.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and QA.
• Create documentation for features and techniques tried or implemented.
