Job Overview

Assist the Nursing Director and staff nurses by performing specific clerical functions for assigned areas.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma

Preferred:

  • At least 1 year of related experience preferred
Scheduling Requirements
  • Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
  • Monday to Friday with every other weekends/holidays
  • Part Time/ Evening
Essential Functions
  • Perform assigned clerical duties (e.g., conduct environmental rounds, stock supply closet, complete assignment board, answer phones/call bells, print daily census, complete patient rounds, file diagnostic reports)
  • Answer telephone/intercom politely and communicate information to appropriate personnel/family
  • Contribute to the unit's overall patient satisfaction score by doing regular rounding, escalating complaints, and providing service recovery
  • Perform chart maintenance, assembly, and thinning according to policy
  • Promote patient flow efforts by actively participating in patient movement and escalating barriers to management
  • Enhance patient satisfaction through individual activities, as evidenced by feedback from patients and families
  • Transcribe physician orders
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
