The Neuroscience ICU Unit at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is a state-of-the-art, 28-bed unit providing neurocritical care. We are seeking a Unit Secretary to perform clerical tasks supporting patient and unit activities, records, and data.
This role requires working night shifts, 36–40 hours weekly, with responsibilities including handling medications and supplies, EMR and Microsoft Office tasks, and coordination with the Nurse Manager to ensure smooth operations.
The Neuroscience ICU Unit is state-of-the-art and the largest in the state of Virginia, equipped with 28 beds dedicated to providing outstanding neurocritical care service for a variety of diseases involving the nervous system (brain, spinal cord and nerves). The NSICU is an essential component of VCU's comprehensive stroke center and is the first and only comprehensive stroke center in Virginia. The NSICU has received the Beacon Award for critical care excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses in 2010 and forward.
The Unit Secretary performs a variety of clerical tasks involved in preparing, maintaining and processing patient and unit activities, data and records.
Must be able to work nights only and available 36 or 40 hours per week.
