Job summary

Endeavor Health in Glenview, IL, is seeking a part-time Unit Secretary for the Medical Stroke Telemetry unit at Glenbrook Hospital. Evening shift (3pm-11:30pm) with rotating weekends; 24 hours per week.

You will support the nursing unit's non-clinical tasks, handle patient charges, admissions/discharges, and order supplies while providing patient and family assistance. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of work experience (or 1 year college + 1 year

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with word processing and computer skills.
• Experience handling non-clinical unit duties is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate non-clinical duties of the nursing unit
• Enter patient charges in computer
• Coordinate patient flow of admissions and discharges
• Order supplies
• Customer service to patients, families, nurses, physicians and other support departments
• Answer phones and relay messages as appropriate
• Proactively identifies need for service recovery and follow up of resolution

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
