• Position: Unit Secretary – Full Time Days

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Unit Secretary provides clerical support to the nursing unit. As a member of the nursing team, the Unit Secretary promotes an organized and positive culture on the unit.

Essential Functions

• Resolve caller problems and specific requests promptly.
• Provide excellent, customer-focused service by managing internal and external calls respectfully and efficiently.
• Schedule discharge follow-up appointments; assist in recording traumas and codes within the facility.
• Perform other administrative or clerical duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Degree or GED
• Experience: Prior healthcare clerical work (preferred, not required)
• Training: EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred, not required)
• Skills & Abilities: Problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, 25 WPM typing, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proactive in a rapidly changing environment.
