Job summary

Abrazo West Campus is seeking a patient care support professional to provide clerical and reception assistance, maintain patient records, and coordinate admissions to promote efficient unit operations.

The role requires accurate data entry, timely communication with nursing staff, and courteous interaction with patients and visitors in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Special Skills: Basic computer skills and able to use phone and fax.
• Minimum Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Preferred Requirements: Experience: One year experience in a hospital setting. CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the patient records
• Assists in the admission coordination of the patient.
• Transcribes and inputs physicians orders and patient information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Notifies nurse of orders requiring immediate attention and of stat, abnormal and diagnostic test results when completed.
• Screens and delivers phone and mail to appropriate individual. Greets and directs patients, visitors, physicians and employees upon arrival to department. Communicates issues or concerns to appropriate individual.
• Assesses and priorities a rapidly changing workload. Completes work in a timely manner. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned

Job Summary

Position Summary
