Location: Saint Francis Hospital, Connecticut

Employment Type: Part-time

Shift: Day Shift

Position Purpose

The Unit Secretary at Saint Francis Hospital is responsible for coordinating patient flow on the unit and providing clerical support to the team.

What You Will Do

1. Coordinate patient flow on the unit
2. Process patient orders
3. Prepare and disassemble patient charts
4. Prepare forms and documents required for patient care
5. Communicate unit and patient-related needs to other departments and healthcare team members
6. Request and obtain supplies and equipment
7. Answer phones and greet visitors

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Business school or Associate Degree in Business preferred
• Healthcare Unit Coordinator (HUC) certification preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks
