About the unit
3D is a 22-bed Med/Surg unit at Blodgett Hospital specializing in complex medical diagnoses and serving as a primary stroke center. Our team is known for expertise in stroke care, sickle cell management, tube feedings, and wound care. Patients often include respiratory illnesses, kidney injuries, diabetic care, septic shock, GI illnesses, sickle cell crises, pancreatitis, and psychiatric conditions. Teamwork and collective care are core to our unit, and staff will learn skills including the NIHSS Stroke Scale.

Scope of work
Performs receptionist/secretarial duties, maintains confidential records, greets guests, and manages computer entries, test scheduling, and order processing per hospital standards.
