A Day in the Life of
As a Unit Secretary, you'll help keep the department running smoothly by answering phones, greeting and assisting patients and visitors, and communicating with clinical staff. You'll accurately enter and process medical orders, maintain patient records, schedule tests and procedures, and ensure important information is communicated promptly to the appropriate team members.
Throughout the day, you'll work closely with nurses, physicians, and other departments while balancing multiple priorities. You'll help coordinate patient care activities, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a safe, organized, and professional environment.
