HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a Unit Secretary to help keep the unit organized and welcoming. You will assist with patient arrivals, documentation, and communications between the care team and families.

This entry‑level role requires a High School diploma (GED acceptable) and Basic Life Support within 30 days. No travel or prior experience is required, and we provide a comprehensive benefits package to support colleagues and their families.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and guiding patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism, offering updates, and ensuring they feel informed and supported
• Maintaining patient records accurately, entering physician orders, and protecting patient information
• Handling all communications between incoming calls and care team members promptly and clearly to keep the unit connected
• Keeping the environment clean, organized, and well-stocked to promote safety and comfort
• Taking initiative to solve challenges, support daily operations, and foster a culture of respect and teamwork

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
