Job summary

Teknor Apex Company in Henderson, KY is seeking a full-time production associate for our KY TPE Plant. You will maintain clean work areas, follow procedures, record test results, and support line mixers and operators to keep production moving.

The role requires daily attention to safety, accurate documentation, and effective communication with shift leaders. Overtime is mandatory when business needs demand it, including potential shifts beyond the scheduled hours.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• On a daily basis, keeps work area clean including equipment, floors, boxes, trash.
• On a daily basis keeps accurate records and notes on production sheets.
• On a daily basis, follow test procedures on finished goods and record results that may include; melt flow, specific gravity, hardness (test stand and handheld), etc.
• On a daily basis, adhere to proper and safe fork truck operation.
• On a daily basis, communicate with shift leaders about processing problems and be able to troubleshoot and make necessary/permitted adjustments to fix them as well as document and communicate adjustments according to protocol.
• On a daily basis, be able to take apart, clean, and reassemble equipment.
• On a daily basis, assist line mixer and other line operators when needed.
• Additional duties as required/requested.

This role is a full-time position within our production department where we have a team approach to manufacturing. Timely and Regular attendance is crucial to your success and the safety of the team. The regular hours of the role are 2:45 PM to 11:00 PM or 10:45 PM to 7:00 AM.

There is mandatory overtime associated with the role depending upon the needs of the business because, with team-based manufacturing, production areas must be manned for worker safety and may continue beyond the end of a scheduled shift or may require additional overtime hours outside of normal shift schedule.
