Department Overview
Our neonatal program is the largest in the Midwest, providing comprehensive care for infants needing intensive care. The NICU at Children’s Minnesota St. Paul Campus is a 62-bed unit offering level 2 and level 3 neonatal care, caring for babies born prematurely, with birth defects, genetic or medical disorders, or requiring surgery. Our team of over 500 professionals combines technical expertise with a family-centered approach, emphasizing teamwork, open communication, and professional growth. Position Summary
The Unit Operations Coordinator is a frontline role responsible for delivering exemplary customer service to families, staff, providers, and visitors in person and via phone. Responsibilities include answering questions promptly and accurately, problem-solving, coordinating deliveries, guiding visitors, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The role acts as a key liaison across departments, supporting patient care and administrative functions, and serves as the unit’s technology resource. Flexibility to float to other hospital departments as needed is required.
