Job summary

Meadow Wind Health Care Center in Massillon, OH, is seeking a Unit Manager (RN) to lead the daily operations of a nursing unit and ensure exceptional resident care. You will supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team, ensure regulatory compliance, and support staff development in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build a positive team culture and manage conflict effectively.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations for skilled nursing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Meadow Wind policies and procedures.
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and balanced workloads.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support staff development and retention.
• Monitor resident outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
• Address resident and family concerns promptly, professionally, and compassionately.
• Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and safety programs.
• Assist with unit budgeting and effective resource utilization.

Position Summary
