Job summary

The Pines at Poughkeepsie, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, seeks an RN Unit Manager to lead nursing staff in a dedicated unit and ensure high-quality resident care. You will coordinate care plans, supervise operations, and mentor staff within a long-term care setting.

Ideal candidates have LTC leadership experience, dementia/memory care knowledge, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Valid state RN nursing license is required.
• Experience in supervisory or leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting preferred.
• Experience in dementia and memory care is preferred.
• Long-term care experience is essential for this Unit Manager role.

What You'll Do:

As an RN Unit Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the nursing staff within a dedicated unit. Your role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of quality care, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring the health, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents.

We are seeking a candidate with long-term care experience and previous unit manager experience. Experience in dementia and memory care is preferred.

This is a full-time, salaried position, working Monday through Friday, with some weekends required as needed. The position also requires participation in the on-call rotation.

Rate of Pay

Up to USD $104,000.00/Yr.

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of a Unit Manager include:

• Valid state RN nursing license
• Advanced degree or certification preferred
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting preferred
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
• Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
