Job summary

The Pines at Poughkeepsie, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, is seeking an RN Unit Manager. You will oversee and coordinate nursing staff within a dedicated unit to ensure quality resident care and a positive work environment.

Ideal candidates have long-term care and unit management experience; dementia/memory care experience is preferred. This is a full-time, salaried role with Monday–Friday hours, some weekends, and on-call rotation. Weekly pay is offered.

Qualifications

• Valid state RN nursing license is required.
• Experience in long-term care management is preferred.
• Experience with dementia/memory care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of nurses and support staff within the unit.
• Develop and implement care plans, ensuring individualized resident care.
• Supervise daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.

What You'll Do:

As an RN Unit Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the nursing staff within a dedicated unit. Your role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of quality care, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring the health, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents.

* We are seeking a candidate with long-term care experience and previous unit manager experience. Experience in dementia and memory care is preferred.

* This is a full-time, salaried position, working Monday through Friday, with some weekends required as needed. The position also requires participation in the on-call rotation.

Rate of Pay

Up to USD $104,000.00/Yr.

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of a Unit Manager include:

• Valid state RN nursing license
• Advanced degree or certification preferred
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting preferred
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
• Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
