Job summary

Merwick Post Acute is seeking a Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on an assigned unit and ensure safe, resident-centered care. This full-time position requires an active RN license in New Jersey and a strong clinical leadership background, with a Monday–Friday schedule and an all-inclusive salary range of $79k–$110k per year.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in New Jersey.
  • Valid BLS certification (CPR) required.
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.

  • Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
  • Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
  • Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
  • Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Rate range: $79k - $110k/yr (All Inclusive)
