Job summary

Avalon Health Care Group's Avalon Care Center Federal Way is seeking a dependable RN Unit Manager to lead the nursing unit, mentor staff, and deliver high-quality resident care. Full-time, 8-hour days with weekend rotation; salary $52.00–$59.00 per hour.

You will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with long-term care standards, and contribute to teaching and staff development in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and licensed by the State.
• Experience directing nursing staff in long-term care or hospital settings.
• Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day functions of the Nursing Unit per current standards.
• Ensure high quality care for residents and adherence to policies.
• Provide teaching and supervision to nursing staff and aides.

Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities

The Unit Manager will direct the day to day functions of the Nursing Unit in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing long term care facilities, and as may be directed by the Director or Assistant Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to the residents at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State;
• Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care;
• Previous experience in a hospital, long term care facility, or other health care related facility is required.
