Job summary

Edmonds Post Acute is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the nursing team on our unit in Edmonds, WA. You will oversee daily clinical operations, mentor nurses and CNAs, and ensure safe, high-quality care for residents in recovery.

The role requires an RN license (WA) with 2+ years of skilled nursing/post-acute experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with care planning and MDS. Competitive compensation and opportunities for advancement are offered.

  • Current RN license in Washington State or ability to obtain

  • Strong knowledge of care planning and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • CPR/BLS certification status or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day nursing operations on the unit, ensuring safe, effective, patient-centered care
  • Supervise, coach, and support licensed nurses, CNAs, and other unit staff
  • Monitor resident conditions and care plans, and assist with complex clinical situations
  • Ensure care plans are current and followed in partnership with the interdisciplinary team
  • Coordinate with physicians, therapy, social services, and families on care and discharge planning
  • Review clinical documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Track quality indicators (falls, infections, wounds, rehospitalizations) and lead improvements
  • Support admissions and ensure residents are assessed and settled promptly
  • Participate in staffing, scheduling, and staff evaluations for the unit
  • Help prepare for state surveys and maintain compliance with regulations
  • Train and orient new nursing staff on policies and best practices
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for the team
  • Report to the Director of Nursing and collaborate closely with leadership

Edmonds Post Acute is hiring an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the nursing team on our unit. You'll oversee daily clinical operations, mentor nurses and CNAs, and make sure every patient gets safe, high-quality care during their recovery. What You'll Do
  • Oversee day-to-day nursing operations on your assigned unit, making sure care is safe, effective, and patient-centered

What You'll Need
  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State (or ability to obtain)

  • At least 2 years of RN experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or long-term care

  • Supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of care planning, MDS, and state and federal SNF regulations

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

  • Proficiency with electronic health records (PointClickCare experience a plus)

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a calm, solutions-focused approach

  • Current CPR/BLS certification
