Job summary

Lynchburg Health & Rehabilitation Center in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Unit Manager, RN to lead a 180-bed skilled rehab unit. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.

You will supervise RNs and CNAs, interface with physicians, oversee QI reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide clinical leadership to staff on the unit. This is a demanding role in a caring, patient-centered facility.

Qualifications

• Current RN license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as an RN.
• 3–5 years RN experience, preferably in long term care.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to long term care.
• Nursing Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations of the unit and supervise RNs and CNAs.
• Interface with physicians, coordinate care, and support QI reporting.
• Provide clinical expertise to staff as needed and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead staffing, budgeting, and performance improvement activities.

Lynchburg Health & Rehabilitation Center has an exciting opportunity for a Unit Manager, RN in our 180bed skilled rehab center in Lynchburg.

The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. This unit provides care for our most clinically acute patients and residents. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.

Requirements:

• Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum three to five years of experience as an RN, preferably in long term care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.
• Nursing Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
