Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum two years of direct care in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric settings as LPN/RN.
• Minimum one year of nursing management experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develop, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the unit.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and facility policies.
• Reviews complaints and grievances and reports to the Director of Nursing.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment.
• Develops assessments of nursing needs for residents.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments.
• Encourages staff to attend outside training programs.
• Reviews nurses' notes for accuracy and relevance of care and resident preferences.
• Other duties as assigned.
