Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience in a criminal justice field, with supervisory responsibility or equivalent.
• Knowledge of correctional facility management, supervision, and training.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise staff assigned to the unit and evaluate performance.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring and orienting staff.
• Communicate responsibilities, authorities and accountability to direct subordinates.
• Complete written evaluations on staff and review subordinate evaluations.
• Routinely review subordinates’ payroll records and overtime usage.
