Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Chief of Unit Management to lead unit operations in secure facilities and ensure adherence to policies, performance targets, and safety standards. The role emphasizes discipline, accountability, and effective team leadership within a government-solutions context.

Ideal candidates bring significant correctional experience, strong supervisory capabilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, plus a valid driver's license and a minimum age of 21.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Social or Behavioral Science or related field.
• Four years of correctional work experience, including two years as a Shift Supervisor, Unit Manager, or department head.
• Three years of supervisory experience in correctional settings.
• Additional qualifying supervisory experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Knowledge of correctional custody methods, case management, counseling, rehabilitative programming; supervision and training principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age of 21.

• Coordinates and monitors the quality of unit management services delivered within an institution.
• Ensures employees adhere to policies, procedures, rules, regulations and standards.
• Supervises and monitors the performance of units against documented goals, objectives and expectations.
