• Bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science or related field.
• Four years of professional correctional work experience, with two years in a supervisory capacity preferred.
• Knowledge of correctional custody methods and applicable standards.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age 21 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise enforcement of facility policies, procedures, rules and standards.
• Directly or through supervisors, assign, train, supervise and evaluate security staff; interview and recommend applicants; handle personnel actions as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with administration, staff, inmates/residents, law enforcement, visitors and others; provide information, directions and testimony as needed.
• Prepare or direct the preparation of shift logs, disciplinary and incident reports and other administrative records.
