Job summary

Morningside University's Sharon Walker School of Education is seeking a Unit Communication Coordinator to oversee internal and external communications and provide administrative support for the Dean of the School of Education and the Assistant Dean of Operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three (3) years experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the internal and external communication operations for the School of Education.
• Support the Dean with calendar management, correspondence, presentations, grants, student awards/certificates, and special projects.
• Plan and deploy communication strategies across the unit in consultation with leadership.
• Maintain social media and online platforms for the School of Education.
• Develop promotional and program materials in line with university standards and brand protocols.
• Prepare text for catalogs and formatting of handbooks, directories, newsletters, and promotional materials.
• Support unit marketing strategies and distribution of routine newsletters.
• Assist with meeting technology for unit meetings and events.
• Plan unit events (e.g., TI Summer Institute, New Student Welcome Picnic, Convocation, Teacher of the Year, Senior Celebration).
• Maintain Unit Calendars and assist with meeting agendas and minutes.
• Schedule and track prospective student visits and provide activity reports.
