Job summary

Olathe Health seeks an Unit Coordinator (RN) for Cardiovascular Procedures at Olathe Hospital. The role covers stress testing and procedures such as Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Cardioversions, Tilt Tables, CCTAs, and NIPS.

Hours are days, full time, 8-hour shifts, 6:30–4:30 aligned with the Cardiovascular Center. The role provides charge nurse leadership, staffing management, hiring and evaluation support, and performance mentoring.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate
  • Bachelor Degree Nursing
  • BSN required by hire date; ADN prepared nurses must enroll in BSN within 6 months and complete by the third anniversary of hire.

Unit Coordinator (RN)- Cardiovascular Procedures

Position Summary / Career Interest

Cardiovascular procedures nurses will be trained to help cover stress testing, but their role will include more procedures: Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Cardioversions, Tilt Tables, CCTAs, and NIPS.

Hours: Days M-F 8-hour shifts. Shifts will vary to cover the Cardiovascular Center hours of operation 6:30-4:30.

Provides charge nurse responsibilities, including assignments, management of throughput, staffing to matrix, and responding to patient and staff needs. Manages a patient care assignment as indicated by patient care needs. Assists with hiring, education and performance evaluation of the staff. Works with the Nurse Manager and Human Resources in performance management counseling and discipline of staff. Required Education And Experience
  • High School Graduate
  • Bachelor Degree Nursing
  • Southwest KC Market Locations: Nurses hired after November 1, 2025, BSN degree is required upon hire. For ADN prepared nurses hired before November 1, 2025, must be enrolled in a BSN degree program within 6 months of hire date, must complete BSN degree by the third anniversary of hire date.
Preferred Education And Experience
  • Master Degree Nursing
  • 2 or more years of clinical experience
Required Licensure And Certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing or compact license
Preferred Licensure And Certification
  • Professional Nursing Certification
