Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Unit Coordinator to support patient care across the continuum from newborn to geriatric. You will act as a central hub, assist with daily unit operations, and serve as the primary receptionist and secretary for the unit.

In this role you will collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure safe, therapeutic care, manage information flow, and coordinate patient movement. A CNA program completion and BLS/CPR are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program upon hire.
• Military medical specialty training upon hire.
• Certified Nursing Assistant: WA upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient personal care/hygiene and comfort for all ages.
• Document and monitor clinical activities; report changes to RN.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
• Maintain a neat, stocked unit and arrange supplies; initiate repairs as needed.
• Support infection prevention and safety standards; assist in drills and emergencies.
