A leading health system is seeking a Unit Clerk/Monitor Technician to assist in patient care and communication within the nursing unit. The role involves transcribing orders, monitoring EKG strips, and maintaining organized records. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and a high school diploma. Certification in telemetry is required within the first year of employment.
The Unit Clerk/Monitor Technician transcribes and posts physicians' orders, maintains medication administration records, transcribes appropriate information on patients' graphic records, assists in maintaining PAR levels of supplies for the nursing unit, maintains an organized work environment, and facilitates communication between staff, families, and visitors. Monitors, interprets, and records EKG strips. Staff may also receive, secure, and transport medications as necessary.
High School diploma or GED is preferred.
1 year of experience as a Unit Clerk or in customer service is preferred.
National Telemetry Association Certification (NTA) is required within one year of hire date or, for existing employees, within one year from the effective date: 5/6/2025.
