Allaire Rehab & Nursing is seeking a Unit Clerk to join our caring team in Freehold, NJ. The role provides secretarial support to the nursing department and handles medical records, physician orders, and unit operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical terminology and transcription is preferred.
• Must demonstrate discretion in handling confidential information.
• Provides secretarial support to the nursing department/staff as needed, in the areas of medical records, transcription of physician orders and general operation of the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides secretarial support to the nursing department/staff as needed, in the areas of medical records, transcription of physician orders and general operation of the unit.
• Experiences with medical terminology and transcription is preferred.
• Must demonstrate discretion in handling of confidential information.
• Delivers new admission chart to unit and initiates forms in preparation for admission.
• Faxes physicians’ orders daily.
• Delivers any faxed printouts to the appropriate department.
• Completes daily transfer of the vital signs and weights from the daily assignment sheet to the resident’s chart.
