Universal Health Services—Metropolitan Behavioral Health is seeking an in-person Unit Clerk for a day shift (7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.). The role supports the unit with clerical tasks, chart preparation for admissions, and discharge paperwork under the Clinical Nurse Manager, at a growing 144-bed behavioral health facility.

This position requires a high school diploma, hospital clerical experience, and strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with staff and patients effectively.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a hospital clerical role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication is essential.
• Strong organizational skills are required.
• Ability to file alphabetically and numerically.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the telephone and in writing.
• Ability to use standard office equipment.
• Ability to read and write legibly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as unit receptionist and perform clerical functions on the unit.
• Prepare charts for admission and assist with discharge paperwork.
• Work under supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager and support patient care workflows.
