Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is hiring for a full-time daytime position focused on administrative support in a healthcare setting. You will manage charting, patient data, and communications while supporting care teams and ensuring smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Notifies and coordinates with other departments or physicians as needed.
  • Places medications in secure storage on arrival to the floor.
  • Maintains timely posting of patient data in charts and EMR.
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn and upgrade skills.
  • Supports quality initiatives and performance improvement activities.
  • Interacts with patients respectfully according to age and culture.
  • Performs duties related to admission, transfer, discharge as assigned.

Job Description

Notifies and calls other departments or physicians when necessary and places appropriate information on the chart, forms, computer, and electronic record. Accesses the medication room to place medications in a secure area upon arrival to the floor. Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrade skills. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and accurately documents and monitor activities as needed. Interacts with patients in a manner appropriate to their age, acuity, and culture. Posts pertinent patient data in a timely manner. Responds appropriately in emergency situations. Performs indirect patient care duties related to admission, transfer, and discharge. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Education: High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Associate [Preferred] Field of Study: in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition or nutrition-related field
