Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ, is seeking a dedicated team member to assist in the Emergency Department with a range of patient care tasks, including STAT requests, discharge coordination, transport, and basic care under the supervision of RNs.

You will use the EMR system for orders and ensure patients are dressed and logged per policy. The role includes performing EKGs and venipuncture, POCT, and continuous observations, assisting with daily living activities, maintaining a safe

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR certificate must be obtained within the probationary period and maintained.
  • Active PCA certificate or PCA experience and EKG certificate and Phlebotomy certificate.

Qualifications

Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Work requires the ability to read and understand written instruction. CPR certificate must be obtained within the probationary period and maintained throughout employment. Active PCA certificate or PCA experience and EKG certificate and Phlebotomy certificate. If the candidate does not have an active PCA certificate, successful completion of UAP, CNA, EMT, current enrollment in Nursing school and successful completion of Nursing Fundamentals, program prior to completion of the probationary period. Bilingual preferred.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
