Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a professional nurse to provide bedside care within the assigned unit, following the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. The role supports flexible scheduling and float pool staffing guidelines.

You will participate in rounds, document findings, administer medications, teach patients and families, and assist with discharge planning and collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care according to medical regime and nursing interventions, assessing patient needs and planning care.
• Performs clinical rounds and ongoing assessments; updates nursing diagnoses and involves family in assessment activities.
• Administers medications (various routes) and monitors patient responses.
• Documents care, patient status, and progress in medical records and patient data systems.
• Assists in discharge planning and patient teaching for disease management and recovery.
• Supervises LPN and support staff on the unit and mentors new staff; collaborates with the care team.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR/BLS/ACLS as required.
