Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care from admission to discharge. You will collaborate with patients, families and an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care across shifts, including two weekend or night shifts and one official holiday per 6 weeks.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree enrollment within 12 months of start date and completion within 4 years of start date is required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes patient information pertaining to physical, psychological and social factors.
• Provides relationship-based, evidence-informed nursing care using the nursing process.
• Identifies complex patient problems and plans appropriate interventions.

• Acts as a patient advocate and communicates concerns to the team.
• Maintains safe, therapeutic environments and addresses patient safety issues.
