Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Unit Aide to provide essential non-clinical support and comfort to patients and staff. You will assist with basic patient care under the direction of a Staff Nurse and help maintain unit efficiency.
Responsibilities include aiding patient ADLs, relaying messages, transporting patients, stocking supplies, and documenting in patient records in line with hospital policy. CPR certification required at hire; HS diploma/ GED is essential.
As our Unit Aide, you will provide essential non-clinical support and comfort to patients and staff, assisting other members of the healthcare team with providing basic patient care under the direction of a Staff Nurse. Every day you will support daily unit operations by assisting with patient comfort needs, transporting patients, performing light cleaning, stocking supplies, and relaying messages to nurses to ensure an organized environment. To be successful in this role, you will exhibit a helpful, compassionate demeanor, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining unit efficiency and team support within a dynamic healthcare setting.
