The Union Security Cabling Installation Technician is responsible for installing, programming, and maintaining electronic security systems, including cameras and card readers, at institutional sites. Working independently on most assignments, the technician demonstrates strong self-sufficiency and technical expertise in security cabling and device management.
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: Minimum two (2) years experience in security cabling installation or related low-voltage work. Familiar with IP-based security systems.
Work takes place at institutional sites with exposure to confined spaces and heights. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work on ladders. May require travel between job sites.
