SEIU-USWW is seeking a dedicated organizer for the Janitorial Division in Sacramento. You will support contract enforcement, member engagement, and political activity to advance workplace justice within California’s janitorial workforce.
Under the Northern California Janitorial Division Coordinator, you will mobilize members, train leaders, and build campaigns to win improvements for workers while coordinating with stewards and contracted employers. Strong outreach and organization are essential.

Working under the direction of the Northern California Janitorial Division Coordinator, this individual will be part of the Janitorial Division which represents janitorial members throughout the Sacramento counties, including contract enforcement and member engagement to make gains in the workplace and to address larger social/political issues in their communities.
Graduation from an accredited college or university in relevant field or equivalent experience in labor & community organizing that would provide for the following knowledge of, skills & abilities.
