Medxcel is hiring for a Facilities role at Henry Ford Hospital Novi in Novi, MI. The role oversees complex plant systems, supervises HVAC staff, and ensures safety and reliable operations on a full-time schedule (T-Th 1st Shift, Fri-Sat 2nd Shift).

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, Second Class Steam Stationary Engineer license, and a Third Class Refrigeration license. Eight years in healthcare facilities is preferred and licensure by Detroit is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent -required.
• Second Class Steam Stationary Engineer license -required.
• Third Class Refrigeration License -required.
• Licensure by the City of Detroit -preferred.
• Certified or Journeyman status -preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates commitment to organizational values, service excellence, and adherence to safety standards and programs.
• Operates, monitors, and maintains complex physical plant systems (e.g., boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC, electrical and water systems) to ensure efficient hospital operations.
• Supervises and trains HVAC/mechanical staff, coordinating work assignments and ensuring safe, effective maintenance practices.
• Conducts inspections, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance while maintaining accurate logs, work orders, and equipment records.
• Manages facility operations support, including vendor coordination, inventory control, system adjustments for environmental conditions, and response to emergencies such as fires or system failures.
