Job summary

DPR Construction in Richmond, VA is seeking a Journeyman Concrete to perform skilled concrete work, finishing slabs, walls, and structural components with precision.

Under supervision, you will prepare formwork, place reinforcement, mix and cure concrete, and coordinate with crew and other trades to meet project standards. A High School diploma is required; 2–4 years of concrete experience and OSHA 10 certification are preferred or required within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in concrete construction or a related field.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred; OSHA 10 completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Places, levels, and finishes concrete for slabs, walls, and structural components according to plans and specifications.
• Prepares and inspects formwork and reinforcement for proper alignment and cleanliness before placement.
• Mixes, handles, and cures concrete to achieve required strength and appearance.
• Operates and maintains tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Follows DPR Construction safety and quality standards at all times.
• Coordinates with other trades and supervisors to sequence pours and address field issues.
• Identifies and reports formwork, material, or safety concerns promptly.
